A MAZE MADE OF THREE THOUSAND ALLEYS RUNS THROUGH VENICE: <\/strong> THREE THOUSAND ROUTES TO EXPLORE AND AS MANY STORIES TO DISCOVER, STEP BY STEP<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Venice is the ideal city for an aimless wanderer<\/strong>: prepare to tread its ancient stones and be enruptured by its beauty at every step. There are about three thousand calli<\/em> (back alleys): just rely on your instinct or your heart and get\u00a0lost in this maze of campielli<\/em>, fondamente<\/em> and <\/a><\/strong>salizade<\/a><\/strong>. <\/em>There is no better way than walking<\/strong> to see Venice like a local and explore the s<\/em><\/strong><\/a>estieri<\/em> of the historic centre<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

A tip before you go? Most of the calli <\/em>are so narrow that there is only room for two or three people<\/strong>, sometimes just one! It is not hard to imagine how difficult it is to cross them, especially if they are crowded or someone else is coming from the opposite side. That is why in Venice it is a good rule to always walk keeping to the right<\/a> <\/strong>and, when necessary, in single file<\/strong> so as not to obstruct other passers-by.<\/p>\n
