Inside their <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/comunedivenezia.musvc1.net\/e\/t?q=5%3dCZPVFR%262%3dTG%26D%3dIUEZ%265%3dZHTNY%267%3d80L2I_8sep_I3_4qir_D6_8sep_H89MC.NuIyLyKB7.uJ_8sep_H8qD_8sep_H8yK977C9_Jcsf_Tr%264%3d3M5Ls3m1qS.z50%26A5%3dQIUDX\">eleven museums<\/a><\/strong>, Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia contains the milestones and artefacts of a unique history, going<strong> from daily life in the lagoon to the splendour of the European courts<\/strong>, where Venetian artists and artisans would help build the grandeur of the reigning dynasties, as well as of nobles and merchants.<\/p>\n<p>The journey through museums unfolds from the origins to contemporary high design productions, with the option of planning <strong>dedicated itineraries<\/strong>, through the stories of people and cultures, merchants and artists, works and inventions. The journey goes from the <strong>ancient maritime maps of the <a href=\"http:\/\/comunedivenezia.musvc1.net\/e\/t?q=A%3dLcBbOU%26n%3dZP%26G%3d5aNc%26q%3dfQW0e%26F%3dAvRAL_tyns_59_CtUx_M9_tyns_4DxHtPzK.xGDBvKFOg.GE_KS1k_UhC9_KS1k_UhF0Fg_PlvR_Z1%267%3doSDOe9v4cY.98v%26GD%3dT5aMa\">Correr Museum<\/a><\/strong>, representing the world of commanders and intellectuals, to the dazzling <strong>18th-century chandeliers<\/strong> forged in Murano, now hanging from the ceilings of the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/comunedivenezia.musvc1.net\/e\/t?q=9%3dGaCZJS%26o%3dXK%26E%3d6YIa%26r%3ddLUAc%26A%3d9wP6J_uwiq_67_8rVv_H7_uwiq_5B3LvA5MhP8F.yE90wIAMh.E0_ITyf_SiA4_ITyf_SiD5Dh_NgtS_Xv%265%3dp7q2dQ9MfW.46w%26E9%3dR6YHY\">Museum of Glass<\/a><\/strong> and the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/comunedivenezia.musvc1.net\/e\/t?q=5%3dBcDVEU%26p%3dTF%26G%3d7UDc%26s%3dZGWBY%266%3dAxL1L_vsds_73_3tWr_C9_vsds_68n4v7ASsFt6s.NtLmLxNz7.tM_vsds_68pG_vsds_68sHq7_3tWr_C9%26h%3d3l4eE6Lz5B.GiL%26tL%3d5UDUB\">Museum of 18th-Century Venice &#8211; Ca\u2019 Rezzonico<\/a><\/strong> and the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/comunedivenezia.musvc1.net\/e\/t?q=7%3dFhEXIZ%26q%3dVJ%26L%3d8WHh%26t%3dbKbCa%260%3dFyN5Q_wuhx_85_7yXt_GD_wuhx_702Mh93GlI.AGxC9KzPt.Gy_Lf1U_VuCs_Lf1U_VuFtGt_PVwe_Zk%268%3d2Sx5p9fPrY.s99%26Gx%3dUHa7b\">Museum of Palazzo Mocenigo<\/a>,<\/strong> today the Study Centre of the History of Textiles, Costumes and Perfume, housing the legacy of the former International Centre of Arts and Costume at Palazzo Grassi and other <strong>ancient and modern textile collections<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>A common thread runs through the collections: the Correr Museum preserves the ancient <strong>women&#8217;s stilt-like platform shoes<\/strong> known as \u2018chopins\u2019, while the Glass Museum houses a collection of <strong>buttons<\/strong> alongside <strong>pearls and murrina glass beads<\/strong>, and the Lace Museum displays the <strong>wedding dress<\/strong> for the wedding of Angela Maria Crespi with Count Franco Ratti from Desio, with a <strong>large veil made by Burano lace makers<\/strong>.
